Farm description
Excellent opportunity to lease organic farmland within the Ottawa city limits. Farming practices must be organic in nature as the land was previously certified organic; organic certification is not necessary. Prospective land tenants may request smaller portions of land for reduced rent (example a lease for 1 acre). A non-cash rental agreement may also be considered whereby the tenant works a fixed amount of hours on the existing farm operation in exchange for access to the land. A great way to get into farming without the burden of land ownership.
Farm opportunity
A small portion of the land base is used by a greenhouse vegetable and herb operation. Partnership is available for certain crops, as the existing farm operation has a good network of wholesale customers.
