How does it work?
Search for farm opportunities or post available land or opportunities. This can include leasing, renting or buying land, on-farm employment, business partnerships, or farm transition arrangements. Finding “the one” can take some time and patience, and it’s worth it.
1. Know what you are looking for.
The more clear you are on what you need and want, the more successful you will be in finding someone that is a good fit.
Browse the resources to help figure out what you need or want. What kind of farm/farmer? What kind of arrangement? Trust your intuition and learn as you go, you will know what feels right. We have created two primers to help you get started: Farm Seekers (those looking for land) and Farm Opportunities (land holders).
2. Put yourself out there, safely.
You have so much to offer, so don’t be shy! Create a listing or a profile and see what happens. The best way to know if there is a good match out there for you is to get on the map! FarmLINK messaging allows you to maintain privacy while sharing important details.
We do require that you complete all the listing fields so people can find you more easily. We highly recommend that you post at least one picture to give people a sense of who you are or what the opportunity is. The more details you share and the more clear you are about what you are and aren’t looking for, the faster you will find your match.
3. Check out the opportunities
Find and connect with potential matches. Search through farm opportunity listings or farm seeker profiles with our easy filters. When you find an interesting opportunity, reach out and see what happens! Both Farm Seekers and Farm Opportunities can write to each other. Remember messaging through FarmLINK is confidential: you don’t have to share any information or even respond if you don’t want to.
