Farm description
I'm the 5th generation anglophone on farm but unfortunately, I'm not able to farm full time due to financial constraints. No chemicals have ever been introduced to our soils. Only minutes from downtown Ottawa and bordered by a residential development for a large hungry market. I have been clearing, adding soil, landscaping and making improvements in drainage to increase the farming potential since the death of my Grandfather. Currently raising emus, chickens, ducks and pigs. Cultivating Munstead lavender, some fruit trees and Hemp. Property has a stocked 4-acre 35' deep lake with a sand beach which brings in a lot of guests. 3 km of walking/ skating trails have been cleared in the forested areas. I hope to create an agritourism destination with meal service, accommodations and activities to help drive on farm sales.
Farm opportunity
Looking for someone that is interested inexpanding the cultivation component of the farm and join me in a partnership. There is about 30 acres of tillable land, 2 Hydro services (600v and 208v) 3 water wells, 10 stall barn, nursery building and hay barn as well as 55'x 32' covered building ,misc storage amd shelter buildings ,workshop and garage . For the right candidate there is an available house on the property and access to some machinery. Ability to communicate in French would be an asset.
