Farm description
David Ysselstein’s farm is a beef feedlot. We feed 2200 cows approximately on an acreage located at the south of Woodstock. On the same farm, we also have broiler breeder chickens for hatching egg production. Our farm produces fertilized eggs that will hatch into baby chicks.

Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm. Provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry house. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production- records. Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Pick eggs, bern, cleansing Cleaning out cattle barns with heavy equipment Maintenance to equipment in barns May assist in planting and caring for crops, if needed. May assist in composting of livestock manure, if needed. Requirements: -Education: Not required -Experience: is an asset, On-the-job training will be provided -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Large workload, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching and kneeling, Standing for extended periods of time, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required. -Personal suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Organized -Work site environment: Noisy, Outdoors, Dusty, Odours. -Weigh Handling: Up to 23kg (50 lbs.) -Language: Basic level of English is required Salary: $20.00 hourly, 55 hours per week Benefits: Accommodation and bonus at the end of the year are provided. Important Information: The regular schedule will be from Monday to Friday. The candidate will work 9-11 hours per day set anywhere between 5 AM and 8 PM. Flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later. Weekend work, overtime, as well as, work during holidays will be required based on the business needs. 2 breaks of 15 minutes each (paid ) and 45 minutes of unpaid lunchtime.
