To view the full job description and to apply for the role please visit - https://www.mnp.ca/en/services/consulting/executive-recruiting/career-opportunities/farm-manager-askgunn-agriculture YOUR DAY-TO-DAY - Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards. - Lead farm safety by ensuring a safe working environment, submitting timely safety reports, and educating employees on health and safety protocols. - Achieve production and financial targets focused on safety, cost control, and budget management. - Manage planting, agronomy activities, and harvest; track operations; collaborate on long-term capital plans and production staffing. - Communicate the company's vision, direction, financial targets, production targets, task-based work assignments, safety expectations, and housekeeping requirements to staff, coordinate activities with stakeholders and promote teamwork. - Complete performance evaluations, create development plans, hire, train, and motivate production staff. - Monitor weather conditions to plan activities accordingly. - Support equipment operation, oversee machinery repair and seasonal preparations, maintain housekeeping standards and preventative maintenance, and coordinate grain deliveries. - Ensure proper grain storage procedures, inventory tracking, and quality control while monitoring the weighing and sampling of grain. - Inspire a high-performing team to reach new heights in production, efficiency, and innovation. - Foster a collaborative, task-focused, solution-driven, results-oriented environment where people are supported, safety is prioritized, and everyone knows their work matters. - Oversee all aspects of grain and oilseed operations with excellence—from crop planning and harvest execution to storage and logistics. - Embrace new technologies and practices that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, optimize inputs, and foster sustainability. - Build strong relationships with partners, suppliers and the wider community. - Work directly with ownership on strategic planning and long-term growth, including capital investments, future expansion and revenue diversification. - Champion a proactive safety culture by educating, empowering, and supporting your team to take ownership of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
