Farm description
90+ acre property located in Metcalfe, Ontario (Ottawa area). The land was previously partially farmed — approximately 7 acres were in active use. We purchased the property two years ago and have since cleared an additional 10 acres, with burn piles still remaining. The property also has an old apple orchard that was once tended to but has been neglected for years. The land is not tiled and will require preparation before full production. Long term, we would like to see the land properly developed, tiled, and farmed productively. We are also reserving a portion for a personal apple orchard. Our goal is to find the right farmer to grow with the land over time.
Farm opportunity
5-year lease (or more) on 90+ acres in Metcalfe, ON. We are open to negotiating favourable lease terms in exchange for land improvements including clearing burn piles, tiling, soil testing, and proper nutrient management. Hay, grain, or mixed use welcome. We are not looking for a one-season arrangement — we want someone who will treat the land right and leave it in better shape than they found it.
