Farm description

FARM Opportunity – Fossil Farms Fossil Farms is a unique farm/retreat with an event barn, commercial kitchen and accommodations (7 units expanding to 12/18 units) on a 200-year-old farm located on the Northumberland Strait in Nova Scotia. The farm has seven acres of vineyard, a 200 apple tree orchard, field crops, two greenhouses with room for expansion, a container hydroponic farm (8x40') and a flower garden. =The farm also has 8 beehives, three babydoll sheep and a flock of free range laying hens. The farm has a solar farm, which generates the electric needed to run the business.

Farm opportunity

The farm is an important feature for the retreat. Presently, we are too busy to maintain the farming activities to their maximum potential and are looking for a person, couple or family to tap the farm's full potential and expand its operations. The right candidate(s) would have access to the following: home (free lease), transportation, wage(s), and future entrepreneurial opportunities. Duties could include: farming, landscaping, housekeeping, equipment and building maintenance, construction, cooking, food processing, beekeeping, guest services, social media, and marketing. Skills: The success candidate(s) should have farming experience and/or a passion for farming, self-motivated, hardworking, pleasant, entrepreneurial, respectful, humble and works safely. Interested, call Doug at 902-301-3780 or message.
