We grow and sale different crops such as soybeans, corn, hay, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, and strawberries and animal products including eggs and we are starting on growing mushroom for restaurants Business Address: 6013 Yonge Street, Unit 300, Toronto, ON, M2M 3W2 Work Location: 2360 Puckrin Drive, Seagrave, ON, L0C 1G0 Type of Employment: Permanent - full time Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Hand harvesting vegetables Monitoring animal health Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops Stone and/or wood picking Fertilize and spray crops Feed and tend animals Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Write daily basic progress reports Requirements: - Education: Not required - Experience: Due to the type of business, a minimum 7 months of experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided. - Driver’s license is an asset - Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods. - Personal suitability: Organized, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Team player, Initiative, Accurate, Judgement. - Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs) - Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Odours, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot - Language: English is required Salary: $18.44 Hourly, 40 - 44 hours per week. Benefits: Tools provided by employer. Accommodation provided at a discounted rate. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Transportation to and from the work location provided. Vehicle provided after 6 months of employment Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. Regular schedule is Monday to Friday, from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm.
