Main Business Address: 356508 35th line RR1 Embro, ON N0J 1J0 Work Location: Same as above and other three farms: Rd 96 963866 RR#1 Embro ON Rd 88 883915 RR#1 Embro ON 37th line 376642 RR#1 Embro ON Type of Employment: Full-time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Monitoring animal health • Feed and tend animals • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment • Milk cows • Clean pens • Detect disease and health problems - watch for sick or lame cows and record their number • Examine produce for quality and prepare for market • Write daily basic progress reports • Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in pens • Help with sorting of cattle and chasing them to the appropriate area • Assist with bedding of the cattle • Administer medication to cows • Travel to and from the different cattle farms to perform job duties Requirements: -Education: No formal education required -Experience is an asset -Worker will be required to do physical work in this position, must be able to work long hours and to handle manure. -Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling. -Personal suitability: Organized, Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Judgement, Team player Salary: $16.00 hourly, 40-60 Hours per week Benefits: Access to meat and food options. Important Information: The first worker will work Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the second will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
