Farm description
This is a smaller parcel of land subdivided from original larger farm. The previous owner before me did not use it for farming purposes. I have been experimenting and have successfully grown a variety of herbs, produce, wildflowers. One year, I had a fantastic crop of squash, with the vines trailing down my rock garden stairs, creating a natural and stunning visual for fall ornamentation. There are raspberry bushes, wild grape vines and a few apple trees which were here when I acquired the property. A practitioner who rented part of the home before grew their own greens and herbs for their herbal remedies and other supplements they use to promote optimal health. There have been some factors limiting my ability to bring my visions of this property to full fruition. I'd love to see an individual or couple, incl friend partners, establish a thriving small farm enterprise. I've seen quite a few successful models with only half an acre. I plan to age in place, so this would be a long term arrangement, with the ultimate goal being for someone to eventually buy me out.
Farm opportunity
2 acres of land with great potential. Open to others' ideas, and working in collaboration as a limited partner, and giving free rein to those whose visions and values align with mine. Prefer natural, organic, sustainable and eco practices, genuine land stewardship and community minded individuals. There is plenty of room for greenhouses and other outbuildings. I am willing to help with the costs of any buildings. Smaller livestock could be raised here, not really suited for cows or a number of horses, though one could probably keep a couple of horses if they really wanted to. I'd like to have chickens for gathering my own eggs, and I'd love to have some goats, and maybe even alpacas. The property has a unique layout in which the home has been partially built into and on a hill, with the surrounding land encircling it. House has 3 plus bedrooms and 3 baths, and can be set up to house 2 or 3 individuals or sets of couples with separate quarters. Have had other couples stay in this arrangement and had plenty of privacy and solitude. There is a 40 ft trailer on site in very good condition, and this could be an option to start with as well, with liberal access to separate kitchen and bath facilities in home. I am working on alternative housing options for myself, with an area in private woods on property in mind. Ultimately I want someone to assume the home and most of the accompanying bills and upkeep, etc.
