Farm description
Aman Farms raises certified organic pork, poultry, and lamb using regenerative agriculture methodologies to sequester carbon and improve the soil microbiome. Our products are sold directly to the customer via our website and a weekly, year-round farmers market. We have a very loyal customer base, who are very much like family to us. Training the next generation about regenerative farming and homesteading skills is important to us. We have hosted people through WWOOF for many years, but would like to invest more into helping the next generation of farmers.
Farm opportunity
For the summer we would offer you room and board plus practical hands-on training in exchange for a few hours of help on the farm (similar to the WWOOF model). We welcome the opportunity to help you grow your own farm business on our land or value-add to what we produce, having access to our customer base. In addition to the raising of animals, some of the skills we can share with you are: bread baking, fermenting, welding, construction skills, mechanical repairs and maintenance, wood processing, poultry processing, soap making and making of body care products. At the end of the summer we can discuss longer term plans, and to an exceptional match we would consider discussing succession planning.
