Farm description
Hi there, we're targeting a ~60-100+ acre property canvas that will be the basis of our future (hopefully) very productive farm. The property will have pastures, arable land and some wood lots. Barn, high-tunnel and some irrigation on well drained soils.
Farm opportunity
Hi there, we're a city family looking to transition and build our family farm. Our long-term vision is to build a productive farm with vegetables, orchards (possibly a small vineyard) and a small flock of animals that support our farm's ecosystem and provide income. We want our farm to follow regenerative farming practices and also leverage the biodynamic aspects of multi-species grazing/support to ensure a sustainable, chemical free farm that produces income from multiple layers of the farm's ecosystem. Our long term vision: Fruit Orchards Market Vegetables Pastures for farm animals Bees We're looking for a partnership with a farmer to be able to bring this vision to fruition. What you offer: Some farm experience or specialty in certain areas (bees, market vegetables, etc.) Full-time commitment Desired to lease, lease to own or some sort of fair partnership. Follow regenerative farming practices and long term goals of soil building What we offer: Capital on land, some equipment and a partnership open for lease/lease to own. We don't have capacity to work on the farm day to day, but potential for seasonal help (initial seeding, planting etc.). We have raised livestock (1 season) and deep gardening experience. Accounting and also administrative/marketing support and access to Toronto (Riverdale) Markets for those interested in a CSA. Let's talk. We're ready to buy a farm this spring and would make sense to have input from our farmers(s) Location: Looking to be within ~2 -2.5 hrs of Toronto or Ottawa in a zone 5 grow zone If you want to lease couple of acres or do more, were happy to have a conversation too. If you're an investor like us, perhaps we can partner on a Joint venture too. Talk soon!
