Farm description

Family Earth builds the capacity of families to mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis. We bring like minded families together in nature to build relationships, knowledge and skills. We are a team of caregivers, children, facilitators and artisans committed to giving our descendants, and all of Creation, a better chance for the future. Our investors are looking to make deep and long-lasting changes in how human beings relate to the natural world. Our vendors and suppliers make it possible for families to live in ways that regenerate ecosystems and reverse global heating. We care about the struggles families face, help them move forward in a better way and act as honourable guests of the peoples Indigenous to the lands where we live and work. Learn more on our website: www.familyearth.earth Family Earth's home is 38 acres of regenerated forest and a former hobby farm. We are looking to develop a kitchen/teaching garden and orchard to nourish and educate the families who visit us. We also aim to forage from the surrounding forests, meadows and marshes.

Farm opportunity

I am looking for a partner or employee to create and manage our kitchen/teaching garden and orchard using principles of regenerative agriculture. There may be possibilities for small scale livestock production and foraging. This person will also contribute to the training and mentorship of families seeking to eat in ways that are gentler to the earth and supervise their work in the garden. This project is in its development stages so the farmer would be very involved in its design. Seasonal and possibly year-round housing is something we could explore.
