Farm description
This 100 acre farm is a historic, fully updated property where the 3acre space designated for organic vegetable production has been in organic production for 12 years. It is described as having "organically grown vegetables" but is not certified.
Farm opportunity
Rental of 3 acres (part of 100 acre farm) is offered for growing organic vegetables - accommodation in a purpose-built building is provided as well as tools and tractor and a washing station. There are three small greenhouses. Grower has the choice to sell vegetables at farmers' markets, restaurants, CSA weekly baskets. Experience in planning and selling produce is essential. Intensively planted, this space can produce revenue of $20,000,- $25,000. An Intern from a French agriculture school and co-op students from nearby high schools are possible.
