Business Location: 8078 Line 8, RR#4 Kenilworth, ON N0G 2E0 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment • Clean barns and barnyards • Detect disease and health problems in hogs • Barn walking, cleaning, and scrapping pens • Feed and tend hogs • Plant and cultivate crops (corn, beans, wheat, spelt, barley, and hay) • Harvest crops • Weigh hogs • Drive farm tractor • Drive a vehicle to move between fields within the farm • Maintain yard Requirements: -Education: Not required -Experience is an asset / On-the-job training will be provided -The candidate must know how to drive a farm tractor as it will be used to perform some of the job duties needed. -Driver’s licence is required -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Large workload, Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching and kneeling, Standing for extended periods of time, handling heavy loads, work under pressure, fast-paced environment -Personal suitability: team player, organized, flexibility, responsibility, dependability -Work site environment: noisy, outdoors, dusty, odours, wet/damp, confined spaces. -Weight Handling: More than 45 Kg (100 lbs) Salary: $16.00 to 18.00 hourly, 30 – 40 hours per week. Benefits: Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate, vehicle and fuel provided for personal transportation, lunch provided, and accommodation provided at a discounted rate. Important Information: The schedule will be from 8 AM to 5 PM (including 60 minutes of unpaid lunchtime break). However, flexibility on schedule is needed as some days will begin earlier and others will finish later. Weekend work will be required depending on the business' needs. We will ensure at least 30 hours of work per week during winter-time.
