Farm description

Previous conventional/sprayed U-Pick apple orchard (5-7 acres), grape vines, pears, plums, berries and more. 76 acres in total, 30 acres woodlot, the balance is orchard, hay/pasture, vegetable gardens and pond, with 300+ feet of waterfront on the Miramichi River. Currently in transition from a conventional operation to a permaculture orchard and vegetable/flower farm, employing ecological/sustainable practices, but not certified organic. In recent years it has been a popular Agritourism destination, open to the public/schools/organizations for direct sales, u-pick and other farm-related/educational purposes. However, it is now closed during our transition. We built an on-site farm store, fixed two older barns, one with walk-in cooler. We have limited animals at this time (laying hens). We focused on vegetable production in 2022 and sold at the local market. We would like to see the farm grow and eventually become an agritourism destination/farm-stay, educational, therapeutic in orientation (sustainable farming, food security, community-sufficiency, nutrition and lifestyle, etc.). There is plenty of space and opportunity!

Farm opportunity

We are looking for an active partner(s) to live on-site and help our family run the farm (fruit/veg/hay/other). We have a fifth wheel camper trailer fully stocked, with clean well water hookup, hydro and sewage hookup. There is ample opportunity for direct sales from the farm store/garden stand, u-pick sales, market sales and more. Profit sharing model to be arranged depending on what each party brings to the table.
