Business address: 3830 Okanagan Street, Armstrong BC V0E 1B0 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: · Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials · Remove filled containers from conveyors · Manually pack poultry into bags and boxes or other containers · Feed and unload processing machines · Check products and packaging for basic quality defects · Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties · Clean machines and immediate work areas Requirements: Education: No formal education is required. Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: · Repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, standing for extended periods, work under pressure, bending, crouching, kneeling, · Physically demanding, fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines, combination of standing and walking Personal Suitability: Team player; Effective interpersonal skills; Client focus; Judgement; Organized; Excellent oral communication; Initiative; Accurate Work Site Environment: · Odours, hot, cold/refrigerated, wet/damp · Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Salary: $17.97 - $24.54 hourly (depending experience and on the side of the facility the workers work their shift on a specific day/week), 40 hours per week – Wage Grid progressions after 520 hours $19.72, after 1040 hours $21.42, after 1560 hours $22.95, Top Rate after 2080 hours $24.43. · In addition to the above base rate, each full-time employee shall receive an off-shift premium of seventy cents ($0.70) per hour for all hours worked on shifts commencing between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm and one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours worked on shifts that commence at or after 10:00 pm and prior to 4:00 am the following morning. · Benefits: Following specified eligibility periods, the Company provides the following benefits: Disability; Extended Medical and Dental insurance; Group insurance benefits; Life insurance benefits; Employer funded Pension plan benefits up to $5470 annually; Vision care benefits. · First Aid - Level 1 = $0.40 per hour premium over rate · First Aid - Level 2 = $0.50 per hour premium over rate · First Aid - Level 3 = $0.75 per hour premium over rate Important Information: Regular work schedule consists of 4 days per week, from Monday to Friday.
