Farm description

We have a 38 acre farm that currently has approx 18 acres farmed yearly with either soybean or corn. We have 8 bee hives on site. Currently our neighbor does the cash crop farming, and a local gentleman manages the hives. He provides us with a few cases of the honey in exchange. At the moment we do not have any farm buildings or fencing, but in the future we would like to expand to have this. Perhaps as we near retirement, but currently with our children and business we do not have the time. Thus, it is a great opportunity for someone to have the free use of our land in exchange for a part of the gains.

Farm opportunity

We are looking for someone who would like to use our land to raise chickens/ducks/etc, and in turn we wuld ask for a share in the eggs. There is no limit to the size of the coop that could be built. We could find an adequate spot that is close to water and electricity. You would be responsible for the set up and maintenance. We would be interested in learning how it is done, and would keep and eye on things while you are not here, but daily chores/feeding/watering/cleaning will be done by you and we could figure out an appropriate small share of the daily/weekly eggs. We also have lots of room if you would like a few acres to plant a garden. Again to be maintained by yourself, we have our own close to the house that we tend. But there is plenty of room for this as well.
