Overview
I am 37 year old working as a nurse in Toronto. I'm dreaming to start a new career to build a small scale vegetable farm where I can bring my family (mom, sisters, aunts, an uncle) to settle down for retirement. I grew up working in the rice fields in SE Asia and when I came to Canada last 2020 I worked as an apprentice/laborer in an organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, ON. I am looking for a 5 acre land in Ontario to begin with.
Experience
I grew up in a small-town rice-farming community in the Philippines. I migrated to Canada 5 years ago. Currently, I am working as a registered nurse in Toronto. Still, I dream of going back to the countryside to pursue my love for farming. Immediately when I arrived in Canada, I worked as an apprentice/laborer in an organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, ON for 1 year. After 1 year of farm work, I decided to return back to my nursing profession to earn and eventually buy my own farm.

I will be working alone. However, I plan to let my mother stay with me. She is already 69 years old and the countryside is a perfect place for her to retire far from the city.
