Overview
Hello, we are a young family in Early 30’s, Shirley my wife, Lincoln our son and myself (Jordan). I have been working in Environmental Conservation and travelling around Alberta for a number of years and would want to lay down some roots to pursue our dreams of one day being a part of a ranch. Currently Shirley and I work in the tourism industry in the summers in a remote fishing camp. At the camp I perform a variety of tasks such as, building cabins, splitting wood, filleting fish, plumbing repairs, carpentry work, minor mechanics, as well as a variety of other tasks that arise throughout the day all while prioritization of what is most important and maintaining happy guest and their requests. As a child I grew up with farms and ranches in my family and I helped out where I could as I got older I worked with local ranchers in communities where I worked in the environmental field. I earned a Bachelors Degree in Environmental studies with courses in rangeland management, soil resources, land use practices, terrestrial ecology and a variety of other related courses. I have developed a well rounded skill set and set of hobbies, self taught welder, carpenter, mechanic and modern day Macgyver. I have a very developed attention to detail and can be creative. Enough about myself… Shirley my wife is an extremely supportive woman that is very passionate about caring for all forms of life wether it be humans or animals. Shirley’s love for animals pushed her to obtain a certificate in becoming an Animal Health Technician. Picking up where I lack she is right there making us the perfect team. We would love nothing more than to get a chance to work together every single day. At the camp we work at Shirley is in charge of housekeeping and is constantly taking care of anyone’s requests for cleaning or supplies and while taking care of our son Lincoln. When Shirley isn’t busy housekeeping she is next to me helping split wood or haul materials or anything I need help with.
Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Conservation.

Farm Vision
Relationship with Farm Owner
We are looking for an opportunity to be a part of a ranching operation. More specifically we are looking for someone to take us under their wing and mentor us so we eventually own our own farm. We are looking to change our lifestyle from working a career to living a sustainable lifestyle while getting a chance to earn a living and do something we love.
