My partner John and I are looking for somewhere to build our dream farm. We are hoping for ALR land that we can use for simple farming, with space to build a shop at the front of the property to cater to the local community as well as room for animals such as chickens, goats, etc and space for an Airbnb as a second income stream and to offer a subversive farm stay experience. We would like to look to open up to the public to allow tours and day visits by drop in fee. Ideally we would want to Lease to Own as we understand that these additions to a property are a little unorthodox and may not be your vision entirely. We are happy to change our vision to suit yours if it is along the same lines though. Just looking to live a simpler lifestyle and grow our family.

I would be farming with my partner John and eventually bringing along his mother who owned their family farm. We would be most likely bringing in another couple who have little experience but are willing to do the work to live on beautiful land.

Farm Vision

We are looking for somewhere to open up our dream farm destination. We envision somewhere that attracts tourists and locals alike that want to submerse themselves amongst home grown vegetables, farm animals, and seasonal experiences. We would have a shop on site that we sell our produce out of as well as local suppliers of items we are unable to process ourselves. We would attend farmers markets and be a link to a community of locally grown/created merchandise. We would like to have an Airbnb on the property to allow a truly subversive experience and allow a second income stream on the property by tapping into the Okanagan tourism industry. Ideally we would be able to have multiple dwellings on property for our partners. (Although we are unsure of property zoning restrictions at this moment we will do the required research)

Relationship with Farm Owner

We would be happy to help someone build a dream farm destination or take over a current farm as a lease-to-own. We both have extensive business backgrounds as I have my Degree in Business and John has years under his belt in the Restaurant Industry. We are open to having the owners as involved as they would like. Ideally we would treat their farm as our own in hopes to one day take it over.
