Overview
I have been blessed with a very interesting life, one that has led me through many countries and uncountable experiences through music and nature. Although I did not grow up on a farm exactly, when I take the time to reflect I see that I have been gardening in a variety of ways for a long time. Much of my life has been gardening in a musical sense, playing concerts for environmental causes, writing nature-themed songs and singing at eco-rallies and such, but increasingly gardening has come to be more and more literal, and now I find myself very inclined to grow perennial food-producing plants, especially trees. After reading on permaculture principles this is the ultimate path that has surfaced in my life, and I hope to find opportunities here to pursue it. I am also a very happy laborer who wants to learn as much as I can about living harmoniously with our only home.
Experience
I have done a good amount of nature-related reading, but certainly no degree! I have given many trees and vegetables I have grown away...but certainly I have not run a business yet, other than being a freelance musician. I have grown in a variety of little gardens around the city I grew up in, Kitchener-Waterloo, but I have not operated my own market garden for an entire year.

Farm Vision
I would like to focus predominantly on starting trees from seed, edible perennials, but I am most willing to learn other tasks on the farm I end up at, and I am certainly inclined to do more market gardening and grow many veggies, as well. The ultimate farm vision I have is for peace to reign on Earth, and it appears perennial foods are the best way to work towards that, and piece ecosystems back together.
Relationship with Farm Owner
I am hoping to develop a creative and fluid relationship that evolves as ideas come forward, but with a clear dynamic of ultimately working for the farm owner to help realize their ideas.
