Looking for: Farm house/rural property in Hamilton/Brant for a June or July start. Family of three and two well behaved indoor/outdoor dogs. We are low key folks who love to spend time out in nature with our dogs (walking, hiking, gardening). We also have 15 laying hens with an 8 × 6 chicken coop that has an 8x12 run attached it. My husband and I have experience in farming (commercial dairy and hobby/horse). We both work outside of farming now but there is a potential of pt animal/farm care if we found the right fit. Happy to live in a house with an existing business on property. We are interested in: gardening, animal husbandry, learning more about canning and preserving, self-sustainability, music. We have heated solely with wood for 5+ years and are very familiar with woodstove heating. We would be happy to live in a farmhouse where there is an existing business but the house/surrounding yard is vacant or without this. We are non-smokers. We are very community minded and would be open to living communally with other people (someone who owns a property and is in need of help with upkeep with yard work or animals or someone who needs light assistance with activities of daily living) given the right fit. We would need minimum 2 bedrooms but the house does not need to be large. If you think you'd have something suitable, we'd love to chat with you and see if we work well together.
