Overview

Hello my name is Megan Lund. I am a website developer, graphic designer, bakery owner and IT student. I have been married to my husband of 5 years, David Lund. Together we have operated a hobby farm for 1 year finishing out an inherited lease. We had a market garden, chickens and meat rabbits. We now are in the process of establishing a 1360 sq. ft. market garden and have been pre-approved for farmer's markets in Langley.

Experience

I have assisted in the creation of several small businesses for friends abroad. I maintain the social media, sales and financials for a small from home bakery that is funding the creation of my market garden. I have operated a small hobby farm with produce and livestock. I have been planning my farm/business for the last 10 years and all of the research that comes with it. I currently do graphic design as a hobby and create all of my own marketing content and product labels.

Partner(s)

I will be farming as part of a team. Myself, my husband David lund and two partners from the USA Lucas Herrera and Jacob Keys.

Farm Vision

I am looking to create a self sustainable (No or little inputs from off of the farm), regenerative ecosystem on the farm. I have planned and created a way to use the by-product of almost every part of the farm from the bark of the wood we are using for firewood to the fruit tree cuttings and animal by-products.

Relationship with Farm Owner

We are currently looking for an experienced farmer to take us under their wing and show us the ropes of commercial farming in our area. In Canada we are losing more and more farmers everyday and people say there is no one taking their place. For my husband and I this has been our dream since we were children. Take a chance on us, you will be surprised.
