Overview
Hello! My name is Sam Lane, and I’m based in Weatherford, Texas. I’m passionate about building community through farming, food, and land stewardship. My background includes hands-on gardening and launching a community food garden project in Parker County, where I’ve worked to bring neighbors together through co-op style growing, youth education, and sustainable practices. I’m especially interested in vegetable and herb production, native plants, pollinator habitats, and small-scale sustainable farming suited to North Texas climate (zones 8a/8b). My long-term vision is to grow healthy food while creating opportunities for education, community involvement, and generational resilience. I’m seeking: 1–10 acres of land in the Weatherford / Azle / Aledo area. A lease-to-own, rent-to-own, or owner-financing arrangement. Opportunities to learn from experienced farmers and ranchers willing to share knowledge as I establish my farm. What I bring: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to land care. Experience in community organizing, small business management, and project planning. A dedication to preserving farmland, supporting pollinators, and practicing sustainable methods. I’d love to connect with farmers who want to see their land continue to thrive, and who may be interested in mentoring or working with someone who values both the land and the community it serves.
